Green Lake Jewelry Works specializes in custom-designed engagement rings, wedding bands, and other one-of-a-kind jewelry.  Jim offers unique styles, and all work is done on site and guaranteed for life.  New designs are created daily for people all around the United States and beyond.  In 2012, Green Lake Seattle was named the ‘Coolest Store in America’ by INSTORE magazine, and in 2017 our Bellevue shop was first runner up for the same accolade, given each year to 10 of the most interesting shops in the jewelry industry.

Unique Jewelry

Montana Sapphire Rings

This custom ring from Jim features two-tone double floral halo mounting that holds a cushion cut Montana sapphire.  The outer platinum halo is engraved with peacock feather detail and accented by teal blue diamonds. Just one of many custom and one-of-a-kind pieces from Jim Tuttle at Green Lake Jewelry Works.

Conscious Craft

Responsible Production and Sourcing

Operating as a custom jeweler, Green Lake Jewelry Works maintains several social responsibility initiatives.  Every piece of jewelery is crafted in its Seattle-area workshops by skilled local artists. It specializes in the upcycling of precious gold and metals, and is a Certified Fairmined Gold Licensee.

Green Lake hosts regular educational talks with miners and gemstone cutters from all over the world to better inform their clientele about the company's commitment to humanitarian-focused trade.  They also actively work with other jewelry industry leaders to organize scientific research efforts that will produce a safe alternative to toxic mercury use in artisanal small-scale gold mining.

Locally, Green Lake supports the Boys and Girls Clubs as well as Treehouse for Kids by organizing drives and fundraisers annually as a critical means to maintain the safe and vibrant community in which we live and work. It is also a profit sharing company and actively maintains a transparent merit-based system which rewards team members for both their productivity and their artistry.

Behind the Jewelry

Artists At Work

Green Lake's artists come to Seattle from across the country and around the world with formal training in gemology, jewelry making, metal sculpture, and industrial design.  These artists are some of the most talented individuals in the industry and the opportunity to work on something new and challenging every day is what draws them from all over.
