Where Structure Meets Art

Designing jewelry in a large scale is challenging. This is metal, after all, and it has some weight. In addition, metal has a personality. It doesn't always do what you want it to do or behave the way you expect.

As you can see, designing these intricately looped and woven pieces to be both light and significant is no easy task. It also takes a lot of planning to make sure the piece moves when it's complete. Just look at this photo. If you've never thought about chain as being anything other than a holder for something else before, here is a magnificant work that will stretch your interpretation.

Jewelers Have All the Fun

Bench work is exciting, and messy, and challenging, and messy, and sometimes very frustrating. And very messy. After all, jewelers are using chemicals and fire to make raw metal do something other than just lay there in a flat sheet or on a spool of wire.

When you buy jewelry from Gina, you are buying all of this: the design thought process, the jeweler's skill with transforming metals, the resulting art.
Pieces of Art

As an artist, Gina also must feed her creativity by creating one-of-a-kind pieces that are pure expression. You'll want to watch her website for these (or get on her mailing list!), because if the definition of luxury is scarcity, these jewels are as luxurious as it gets!
